PinPoint PH Controller Users

I am posting this here also, I put it in the general reefkeeping..

I need help, I have a American Marine Pinpoint pH Controller and I am totally lost in setting it up. I have a PM Calcium Reactor with a 10 lb Co2 bottle. Does anybody have a link to help me understand how to set this up and operate it. I have it calibrated it, but do not understand Setpoints and what the Co2 actually does. My Calcium is at 450 with me running the Calcium reactor without the Co2. Thanks for whoever takes the time to help me with this...

Also, Where do you put the probe? I have read it should be in the affluent but also I have heard people put it in the tank or sump????

Re: PinPoint PH Controller Users

Put the pH probe in the reactor. Set the bubble rate at the co2 regulator to 20 bpm and set the water flow rate to 30 drops per min. adj the controller to maintain a pH of 6.8 to start with. It sounds like your already doing something to maintain the Ca at 450. Make sure you keep the Alk up and the tank pH steady. Too much CO2 into the tank will drop your pH.

One more question,

I am having trouble setting the set points. When I set the center point in the high setting to 6.8 and the low to 6.6 it messes up the High. I am not sure what the range is for while setting the set points?

Thanks for the help.
