Tubing and and Cavitation
Hi for my 20 gallon tank and 10 gallon sump I am planning a mag 2 for the sump return and a mag 5 for closed loop.
I some questions about tubing and cavitation and bulkheads 1. For the Mag 2 it has 1/2 inch inlet and 1/2 inch outlet what size tubing should I use for the outlet? should I keep the 1/2 inch or should I go up to 3/4 or even 1 inch? Will any specific size tubing be better for protecting against cavitation or with a smaller pump like the mag 2 is cavitation not such a big worry? 2. For the mag 5 and the closed loop the mag 5 has 1/2 inch inlet and 1/2 inch outlet I am planning on using 1 inch bulkhead and 1 inch tubing for the inlet. I want to have at least 3 outlets. What size should the outlet tubing be? I assume that it will be something like 1 inch and then I will put some Ts and then the tubing will be smaller. or should the tubing size be the same even after the Ts? |

No one uses these pumps. I highly doubt that.
also is pvc better than flexible tubing with respect to cavitation or in any other way?? |
