Question Help positioning bulkheads

I'm planning on drillin two holes in the back of my aquarium withing the next few days, and I was wondering what the best location for them would be. Top or bottom? They will both be used as drains. Would if be a good idea to put a third one at the top in the middle for a return? Thanks for the help.

For the drains I would go toward the top, for the ruturn I mysefl woulf go with 2. Get some locline and split it into two within one return. You will have 4 total returns and they can be directed seperate ways to help create flow behind rockwork etc.
