what do rots look like?

i am culturing rots that i got from the local pet store, i'm not to sure what type. i feed them DT's and i know there in there since it's a one gallon container and all the phyto is gone overnight. i have seen pics of what they look like at x100 but not sure what they look like with my eye, i can see two thing in the container and I'm not sure which is them. one are black specks and the other thing is white little stands i'm not sure which one is a turd and which one is a rots or if you just cant see rots with your eye

you can barely see rotifers with the naked eye. but mine are clearish white, and look alot like small copepods running around. mine are L strain rotifers.
