How old are your filters??? Have something dead in them??? lol Also if you ran the flush kit with dirty water that might have something to do with it... Oh, not to mention if your test kit is expired...

Contact your water utility and ask if they use chloramines for disinfection, sounds like they do. If so you need either a 0.5 micron Chlorine Guzzler carbon block or a granular catalytic carbon cartridgee followed by a carbon block or sediment filter to adsorb the chlorine and ammonia that make up chloramines.

What AZ said, probably chloramine. Just let the water circulate for a couple of days and it will dissipate (test again after 2 days).
Colect H2O in a large garbage can--that way you can manipulate conditions better.

this also explains the trace of amonia in my tank last week, see my top of water comes directly from my ro/di setup..... which put amonia into my tank, guess i need better filters, i guess i have alot to learn, but hopefully some else will read this and learn from my mistakes

You could use an RO bypass to waste the first few ounces of water to flush the TDS creep out before making DI. I use a pressure tank and faucets so I can't flush to waste.
