Red Turf Algae
ok I have it all over my rocks, its like really fine tooth bruxh bristle. what are people doing to get rid of it. its looks awful in my tank. I hav just recently converted over from the 170 gal tank to a 65 gal tank. with lots of flow for my SPS, and its no use trying to take it off.
What are you reefers doing to get rid of it... mike

A Hippo Tang (maybe mine just happens to eat it)... probably a bit much for a 65 though. Maybe try a Lawnmower blenny?

When I had the stuff, the only thing that would eat it was, mexican turbo's Turbo fluctuosa. They mowed right through it. The sad part is mexicans don't last long in warmer tanks. All the recommended temps I've read are 72-78°F.
