RO to RO/DI upgrade questions

Dumb question: I'm adding a di stage to my ro unit. The output of the ro becomes the input to the di right? It should be sendiment filter-carbon filter-reverse osmosis-di? I get 0 tds on output so I'm guessing I got it right (I was getting 3 or 4 on output without the di stage). How many gallons of water should I throw out before I can start using the output.?

The DI is always the last stage of the filtration. Out of the RO into the DI. If you are getting 0 tds then you are good. A gallon is all you need to purge before use. Hope this helps.

3 bed volumes should be sufficient on the flush water on new DI resin.

And right - RO permeate goes to the DI input.
