lights need to be off for a couple days??is this disaster waiting to happen???

due to circumstances out of my control i have to be without light for two to three days....am i asking for trouble??? anybody have ideas???

I left mine off for 36 hours when I went away for new years. I came back to crystal clear water. The blackout got rid of the algae in the water column that gets suspended when I clean the glass. Corals didn't seem to mind it for that short period of time.

sorry about not enough info....um all softies (leathers, zoa, mush, colts, etc...). electricity will be on just no light for two to three days or so.

some LPS but very few...candy cane thats about it

Can I ask why the lights will be off?

Couple SPS/Zoanthid tanks and a couple of FW planted tanks.

Current Tank Info: 5 pieces of glass with some silicone and plastic frames holding them together

sure...was moving tank dropped light accidentally...really bad lfs's in town had to special order some parts and overnight them unfortunately the weekend slows it down...not my fault don't hate me

won't hurt a thing. In bad situations I have had the lights off on several tanks for almost a week. No harm at all. Don't sweat it.
