skimmate production comparison/competition!!!!!
okay,
let's post pics of our skimmate BUT we have to mention skimmer model, pumps(s) used, ozone/no ozone, net tank volume, dominant coral type, fish load and feeding schedule for this to be a little more 'objective'. here is a pic of my skimmate. i get TWO (yes that is 2) GALLONS of this stuff per DAY (yes...per day) on my reef concepts aerofoamer 830 driven by an iwaki 70rlt for only 15 hours per day...consuming 2240 watts per day. net volume is 195 gallons with mostly sps, 8 small/medium fish, no ozone, no uv and 2 cubes of rinsed frozen foods per day soaked in selcon. i give a dash of phytofeast phytoplankton twice a week.
