My 125 Mostly SPS Reef
Hey guys, i've been lurking for a while and never posted pictures of the tank. I know I have quite a big bio load, and yes I know about the vlamingii tang and how big he gets (i'm upgrading to a 300G this summer)
Inhabitants: Purple Tang Blue Tang Foxface Vlamingii Tang 3 Green Chromis Firefish Goby Lawnmower Blenny 2 Bar Gobies Blue Linkia Starfish I do BIG waterchanges every week, everything get's fed, alot. 2 sheets of nori twice a day, big skimmer, no agression fighting between the fish (once in a while the blue tang who's 9 inches goes after the foxface for about 2 seconds), mysis shrimp every other day. I know the pictures are REALLY bad, but my Nikon D200 is at home right now. My new'ish 125G 6 foot tank My best buddy in the world I've trained him to sit in my hand, whenever I put my hand in the tank he'll swim from wherever he's sitting and plop in my hand until I shake him out My Male Bluejaw Trigger RIP, he jumped a month ago and was replaced with the blue tang |

I've got 2 seio 2500's on order......i'm excited about the extra 5000gph of flow i'm going to get!!!
I had that pbt for 3 months and than had a massive ich outbreak in my tank due to our apartments ac unit going out and the tank temps shot up to 89 degrees. I lost 2 true percs that had been with me for 2 years, a pbt, blonde naso tang, target mandrin, blue spotted goby, baby 2 inch sailfin tang, and a few other gobies. It was hard. The only thing that survived was my lawnmower blenny, thank god. My trigger jumped out a month ago while I was on vacation. He was a model citizen, never touched coral, fish, and he would let the shrimp clean him, he ate out of my hand. I would deff. reccomend bluejaws to anyone. I will get another with my 300G |

Full Tank Shot (Sorry it's dark on the right 1/3 of the tank, need to buy a new bulb, it's blown)
Clams I'll get some more shots up tomorrow, I need to take some of the right side of the tank with all the pretty wavy soft corals |

The new power heads will do so much for your tank. I ditched my MJ1200's and went with the nano streams and wow, what a difference already and it has been a only a week. Good luck.

Nice. That linkia in pic #9 looks like he's wearing sneakers.
Cute LMB, he looks cozy in your hand. You're right, the full tank shot looks like you need more light in the right side. I see you hate 'em tangs eh? Me too

Thanks for the kind words guys! It's been an adventure with this tank, but other than the massive ich outbreak due to the a/c goign out i've had great results due to hard work and dedication.
Yeah, i'm excited about the seio's. 5000gph extra is alot of flow! I'll be at 6200gph goign through my tank. Should be enough for the sps. |

No, acutally no fighting, ever. The fish are fed so much there is almost NO agression. The tangs and the lawnmower blenny get 2 sheets of nori TWICE a day. And everything gets fed mysis shrimp every other day. The blue tang once in a while will nip at the foxface for 1 second, but that's it. The purple tang is the boss of the tank, nothing messes with it, ever.
