T5? T6? T'doff!
Would someone help me with the difference between T5 lighting and T6 lighting? I saw a T6 light that I was planning to buy online, but am now confused.
Thanks, Joe |

Where did you see the T6's on line?
There are T6 VHO's which are pretty cool but hard to find. The Normal Output T6' are not going to be near as intense as T5's.

I saw it at aquatrader.com, it was on sale for $100 for a four bulb strip. Probably not what I want then?

Do you have a link?
Normal output available t-5 & t-6 High Output available t-5 & t-6 limited selection for t-6 Very High Output available t-6 only VHO t-6 should be more available in 4 weeks or so from what i heard. From what i can tell watt to watts they have very semular light output. T-6s fits into standard vho fixture. Sence T-5 dont come in VHO or 72" length the t-6 seems like very a good option in the future asthey become more available.

Grim, Any big spectral shift, or PAR drop off, on the T-6 VHO after time?

About the same as the T5 VHO they ar testing. T5's have a signifigent shift at 6 months. The PAR doesn't really drop that much, I had better than 80% of new after over a year.
