thorny oyster?
I bought a blue xenia a couple months ago. Anyway the coral was colonized completely over this, so I never really got a good look at it. I went out of town and left my tank for someone else to feed. Nitrates peaked things went downhill.... However, this was the only piece I lost. The oyster ( I think ) that it covered, still lives. I haven't really done much to keep it alive but seems to do well. Anyone know what this is exactly?
Meklo http://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/...3641oyster.jpg sorry the picture isn't clearer. |

Looks like a damsel to me. Thats the only thing I could make out in your blury picture. It may be just that, an oyster, they are pretty common on live rock.

Those do look like Spondylus oysters. The four "thorns" are barnacles.
