ro water
this is a stupid question but, what is the mix of salt to ro water? I just got RO filter water maker (what ever it is called) but it make RO WATER because buying salt water is too expensive..
per gal. |

If you are using Instant Ocean it is 1/2 cup of salt per gallon of water. Each salt mix is a bit different so read the directions on the bag/bucket.

i'm a bit confused by the question. Are you asking how much salt you put into RO water? If so, its whatever the label calls for, however a lot of them will call for say...1/2 cup per gallon, but it will only be to the SG of like 1.022 or something like that. So you generally have to play with it and add more till you get it right.

I know IO calls for 1/2 cup a gallon = an sg of 1.023 and RC calls for 1/2 cup a gallon = sg of 1.022
