starting 400 gal., need skimmer, should I

run one skimmer or two smaller ones. I using this as the wet/dry.

http://www.petpromenade.com/ProductD...0000-958062736

this will all be limited in height to 30". That is why i am seeing if 2 will work.

Also, any recommendation as to which one?

Thanks

It will start out as a fowlr tank, but may eventually turned into a reef.

I hope that wet/dry is going into a FOWLR setup and not REEF, or you may have some problems down the road.

I would recommend a properly rated skimmer to match your setup unless money is no object... usually 2 skimmers costs more than 1. Reefers normally consider 2 skimmers when they have one that is really working well, but too small for the upgrade, so they add on a 2nd skimmer which is less than buying a big one that matches their system.

What would the problems be if turning into REEF later on?

I currently have a 125 at my office with a refugium and a coralife skimmer that has live rock.
