Removing Acrylic Scratches

I just bought a 120 flat backed hex that I need to remove a lot of fine scratches from cleaning by the previous owner. I have a buddy that is a auto detailer and he says that we can wet sand these scratches out. Anyone had any experience good or bad with this? Anyone have they own method(s) that work well? All input appreciated.
Thanks

Go to home depot. Get a polishing/buffing wheel. Find Novus acrylic polish/buffer. Polish it out. Works awesome!
