Grounding probe/electrical help...
So I just upgraded from 150's to 250's MH. The 250's will not work with my GFCI for some reason...
So, I want to hook up my grounding probe but the outlet is one of those square ones that does not have a center screw. Are the two screws that hold it in the same? Can I ground it there? It is a plug in GFCI. Anybody else have MH not work right on a GFCI? Thanks |

Have the lights been tested before?I can not see what your outlets look like but some of the electrical boxes are plastic so attaching it to a screw may not work. Most light fixtures chassis are grounded, so you may want to hook the wire to the fixture.

My fixture worked on a regular outlet.
My outlet is square shaped like a GFCI but regular and I used to ground my probe to the middle screw. This one has no middle screw, just two on top and bottom holding it in. |
