20 year old damsel

A friend of mine just lost her little yellowtail damsel that was purchased in 1987!!! It was the tankmate of a stars n stripes puffer that I believe is about 15yrs. old. The puffer could have eaten the little guy without even knowing it, he's probably 24'' long and very round.

It's a shame for it to die so prematurely.

It's cool that a little damsel could live so long. Makes me wonder how long the puffer is going to be around. I'm thinking it's got a longer lifespan than that.

that is a long time with one fish, its seems most people don’t even stay in the hobby that long, and is even more rare to keep a fish alive that long. sounds like a Responsible Reefer to me.
