Quick Paly Toxin ?

How long do the toxins last? Two weeks ago I was handling a bunch of zoas without gloves and I had spilled a ton of water on the floor. Well afterwards I was getting ready to clean the floor and I saw my cats favorite mouse.

Not thinking I picked it up, then I realized that I was transferring palytoxin to the mouse my cat runs around with in his mouth all day. I put it up so he couldnt find it.

Is it safe to give him the mouse back now or should I just trash it?

I would trash it for sure. There is a sad story that was posted here a while back about a guy that lost his dog to palytoxins. It MIGHT be ok but really its not worth the risk.

My thoughts exactly, i remembered the horrible story of the family loosing their dog.

I really messed up though, he has had this mouse his whole life and it is the only one he will play fetch with.

I got it in philly, maybe need someone to send me some more.

I posted this under the wrong name ^^, sry for any confusion.
