Underwater Web????
Ok I am not new to reefkeeping but I just noticed something unusual. Has anyone ever seen an underwater spider? By this I mean, a creature that puts out a web and catches food with it. I knew of this web for some time now but never saw it in action. A couple of beers made me sit and relax long enough to see this thing in action.
Any takers????

It's most likely a vermatid gastropod. They put out a mucus net to catch food and then they suck it in and eat it. Neat creatures as long as you dont get too many of them.
Here's one of mine: www.MikesReef.com

I've seen something like that in my tank. Most likely hitchhikers on the live rock. I never figured out what it was, but it never hurt anything that I could tell. I did find myself watching it quite often - just for entertainment.
