From too little flow to too much?

HI,
I have a 58 Oceanic and my only flow previously was my sump return--400-450gph. I just added 2 Tunze Nanostream 6025s @660gph ea. So now I'm at 1700gph give or take (29xturnover). Is this too much? I only have and only plan on soft corals. Right now, my xenia isn't pulsing as much, my mushrooms are sort of scrunched up, and my fish are spending less time out in the open and more time in the caves.

It's only been a few hours. Could this just be an adjustment period for everybody or is it just too much?

Thanks,
Grant

I have 2 6025's in my 40g. I have a mixed reef and everything loves the flow. Give it some time for them to acclimate to the new flow. The pumps tend to 'lighten up' after a few days as they slime up in the tank. No worries.

Thanks, Drummereef. I guess my main concern would be the mushrooms, since I've always read that they like lower flow. If you've got mushrooms in your tank with the 6025s, I'll let mine ride for a while. I actually thought about selling them after only a few hours.

Also, I noticed you have an AC Jr. Do you use it to control the 6025s, or are they on 24/7? Thanks again.

Grant
