MH lighting for my 110, retro or hood, opinions??
I have a 110 (60"x24"deep x18") with 4 96 watt PC retrofit lights on it already. I want to keep anything I want basically from softies to sps.. I am looking to buy a 48" to 60" fixture with at least 2 250 watt MH's.. I would do retro fit and use 2 of my pc's as actinics, but my canopy is only about 6-8" tall so they would stick out of the top.. I am looking to get the best setup I can without spending a fortune.. does anyone have anything for sale, or have any opinions on where to buy from?? thanks

I would visit your local Electrical Supply house and get a ballast/socket kit. They run about $60/ea and you can totally control how and where they are mounted. This is great especially if you have an existing hood and want to keep as much old lighting as possible. The only downside is that you will have to come up with some sort of reflector b/c the kit does not contain it.
