refuge
I have been thinking quite sometime about adding a small refuge to my 29 gal tank. how would i do this or can it be done. Would this be a big pain to do since my tank is up and established? I just wanted to add a few shaving brushes, macro. I used to have a small netbreeder in the back corner of the tank with macro in it but couldn't figure a way to run a light on it 24/7.

You can plumb a tank into the system in the same style as a sump, or you can add one of the CPR AquaFuge hang-ons.

That animation shows a full-blown sump. Various parts can be simplified away, depending on what kind of setup you want.

Well, there are lots of online vendors that carry pumps and hang-on overflows. For the baffle for the pump, some plastic mesh might work.
It's usually easier to get a tank locally. If you're going to position the refugium above the display, you might be able to get the refugium drilled for an overflow, which is nicer than the hang-ons, in my opinion.
