ID please

This is in my live rock.. Do you think its a feather duster? Coco worm possibly?

I would like for it to survive this cycle, what does it need to survive?? Will it grow much larger or does it typically stay small like this??

Also is it possible to remove it from this rock and relocated it? I think I may toss this rock since it is loaded with bubble algae before they spread.. just got the rock a few days ago

You should be able to remove it as most feather dusters can be moved but you will have to get all of the tube that the duster lives in. Maybe breaking the rock to get of of the tube would be ok if you are trashing the rock anyway

Hmm.. I would probably end up breaking the tube if I try to smash the rock.. I dont know how big the tube is but the pink that comes out is pretty small, so maybe the tube isnt too long?

It will survive the cycle, no worries there, and it's probably as big as it's going to get. I'm guessing that it would be pretty hard to move.

Hmm.. so one person says it can get pretty big, other saying its as big as it will get..

anyone else have any insight? If this is as big as its going to get (hardly noticeable) I may just trash the rock and say bye bye to the feather duster

There are Hawaiian feather dusters that do get huge, that is not one. I have had those kind in my tank for years, and they are still tiny.
