Crab ID needed

I found this dead in my tank this morning. It must have come in on the live rock I added 6 weeks ago.

Can anyone ID it in case any more show up? Is it a predator?

i think its called a gorilla crab.usually the black tips on the claws means bad crab.i had one in my tank as well and got him out while i caught him cruising through some of my zoas.

sure it is dead or just a molt? It does look like a gorilla crab.

Yeah, I would make sure that there is substance within the shell. That is definately a gorilla crab and would do a lot of damage in a reef system.
