I am planing to build a sump & refugium by myself. Anyone knows if HD or LOWES sell acrylic that I can use for the sump?

Thanks,
Ed.

Both HD and Lowes sell acrylic that you can use to build a sump.

I used acrylic from Dummy Depot to put the baffles in my sump; the sump itself is a 50g AGA tank. Cutting the thick stuff can be a pain in the butt; I ended up getting a cheap jigsaw and some blades which seem to clog quickly.

While they each sell clear "plastic" sheets, it may be lexan not acrylic. You may want to check with local plastics shops for price comparison. You may get a better deal there, and they may even cut to your dimensions for nominal charge. Also, my local Lowe's & HD don't sell weld-on, another reason to go to the plastic shop.
