Best RO/DI system for the money?

I am looking to buy an RO/DI system as I am sick and tired of buying water by the gallon.

I would like to know what the best RO/DI system that I can but don't want to break the bank in doing so. I have seen many different models and most seem to be about the same but the costs very greatly.

If you have an opinion please post it here and I will check.

Thanks,

Mike

Check the vendor forums. The Filter Guys and PurleyH20 are both reasonable. The filter guys are also reef hobyists so they use their own products? Spectrapure has a new model out that is supposed to be "the best" maxpure is what I think it is called but it is more pricey..

FWIW

I just ordered an Oceanreef + 1 from FilterGuys and it shipped yesterday. Jim vas very helpful on the phone and I think it was a heck of a value for what I will be receiving.

You may want to check the Typhoon III from Air Water Ice. Very solid unit and excellent support.

Air Water Ice had the best customer service when I called around. Give them a call and they can help you out and give you a great deal on a RO/DI unit.

I ordered the Typhoon III from them, I cant wait to hook it up

I can also recommend Air Water Ice. Their Typhoon units work great and it's pretty cheap comparatively. Their customer service is also unbelievable; a little plastic connector on mine broke (most likely my fault) and they promptly sent me two replacement ones at no charge - they even paid for shipping.

I also recoment air-water-ice, excellent products and customer support. My wife bought me the Typhoon III for X-Mas and they even threw in a free pressure guage for the Holidays.

Thanks...

Wow...looks like the Airwaterice is the way to go. I had never heard of them. Thanks, this is what makes RC a great resource.

Will probably be ordering on Monday.

Thanks again,

Mike

The best for any amount of money is the Spectrapure MaxCap RO/DI.

I vote for airwaterice as well. Walter there is always willing to send out replacement parts free of charge if you have any problems at all. Fantastic support!
