Curing live rock that's been sitting outside

A friend of mine was planning a larger tank that just did not materialize and he sold off most of his stuff.

Anyway, he had about 70 pounds of live (base now) rock that was sitting outside for about 8 or so months. Is there any special considerations I should make in preparing to start the curing process?

Should I blast them off with hot tap water or anything? Pressure wash them (I could do it at my car wash? I'll probably cure them over about 2 months or so but I want to do it right the first time.

Thanks,
Waxx

There's probably really no wrong way at this point since it's been out of the water so long. I'd rinse of any debris is a saltwater wash and just go for it.

I would just wash them off. They are no longer live, it is dead rock. No need to cure them.

yeah, that's what I figured. At least there won't be any BAD additions to my tank. On the other side of that though, there won't be any good ones either.

K, thanks.

Really? Alrighty then. Maybe I'll just give them a good wash and maybe let them soak for a few nights then?

I imagine that it would be OK to rinse them in tap water?
