Overflow volume Calculation
I was hoping to find some help in here on what kind of Pipe I need for an over flow.
Description: 650 gallaon Stock Tank with over flow filling pond. I havea pump that supplies ten gallons a minute to the stock tank. I would like to install a big enough over flow to accomodate 10 gpm to the pond. My question is how big of a drain pipe (overflow) would I need? I was thinking about using 2.5 inch PVC, but someone recommended I use 3. Any suggestions would help tremendously. Thanks guys

Home page, left side about half down you'll find calculators.
Eaxample: Using the following input parameters Gallons per Hour = 600 Drain and Overflow sizes are calculated as Recommended minimum drain pipe diameter = 1.01 inches Recommended minimum linear overflow size = 9 inches |
