Looking to upgrade tank
We are thinking about going to a 90 gallon or so tank. Space-wise a corner cabinet/tank would work best but does anyone have any pros/cons about that set up? Flat front or rounded? etc...
I'd appreciate any help before I find out the hard way. Thanks. |

The only pointer is that corner tanks tend to be taller than rectangular. This means you need to take that into consideration when lighting the tank. A 30" high tank takes more light than a standard 24". Otherwise, the only other drawback is reaching the back corner. Long arms solve that.

Rounded would give you an illusion that makes the tank look bigger from the front...I'd go with that ....just IMO

Longer tanks will give more fish to swim though....so the idea here is that if yo uwant a yellow tang lets say...it needs alot of room....the long swim space of a long tank will be better for him than the short but deep swim space a corner tank will provide....but hey, it depends on what you want to keep.

Agree with zach. A longer tank is better than a rounded one, at least in terms of room for the fish. Corner tanks do look pretty nice though.
