I just need a quick reply .. is to many water changes bad?

I have a 50 gallon tank that i am having a nitrate problem in

3 days a go i changed about 20 gallons of water. but still today the nitrate is a little high

I want to do another change today, is this bad ?

Would it be bad if i took out about 25 gallons so soon again ?????????????

Not really. I would maybe only do 20 gallons but even the 25 should be fine. Many people feel large frequent water changes remove too many bacteria from the tank. This is just not true as the bulk of the tanks bacteria are holding on to the rock and other fixed objects for dear life. Very few are free swimming.
