Acclimate a lighting upgrade

I just purchased a MH/T5 combo fixture to upgrade the lighting on my 90 gallon tank. I was using a PC fixture. Does anyone have experience/recommendations for how to acclimate the fish/corals to the brighter light. I've heard it needs to be gradual.

Start with a shorter photoperiod and work up. I'd start with 2-3 hours per day the first week and lengthen it by an hour per week after that.

I did the same with mine. Went from PC to T5. alans got the right idea. You can also use a screen or some eggcrate to filter the light. Adjusting the photoperiod should be fine though.
