PowerCompact Actinic Lighting .... plz enlighten me

so i just noticed my pc actinic lighting in my aquapod 24 hooding is not lit...so i pulled it out and put it back in..in hopes it was something else but still am unsure because when ever i do flip the switch where the actinic light is it does light up for a brief moment....perhaps a couple blinks of an eye then just goes back out....everytime i flip the switch......now is this normal behavior for a pc light to have once it burnt out? or does the fact that the light does briefly come on and off during the initial switch mean it maybe something else wrong? ive tried swapping the lights to make sure its not any of the sockets or anything else and the actinic one seems to do the same thing on either slot...i dont know much about pc lighting the i do know with regular household bulbs once tehere out theyre usually totally out not showing any signs of life again....i dunno any help or advice would be appreciated

That sounds like a loose connection or a bad ballast. I'd probably get another bulb and see how it does. Loose connections always make me worry about fires.
