Lighting/Canopy question

I'm building a canopy for a 180 gallon 6" tank. I am putting in 3 Icecap 400w MH retro's, but I want to add 2 VHO Icecap retro actinics to add blue.

The question is, do I buy the 72" tubes or go with 36"? If the canopy is ~72", won't the cap ends stick out too far and require the canopy to need to be about 73-74"?

Thanks for your help.

That sounds about right. The choice is up to you. If you go for the 72" bulbs, I'd get the parts before starting the canopy.
