pH meters

Does anyone use a pH meter like the Hanna "Checker"? Are they accurate and what do you recommend?

Thanks

I would be concerned with their margin of error of .2. Pinpoint pH monitors are good and are accurate within .01

I had a pinpoint. It works well, but it needs to be calibrated often. My tank nearly crashed because the monitor got out of "balance".

I had much better luck with my pinpoint by keeping it in the dark.

As for the 'pen testers', look for a two point calabration.

IMO a cheep pen tester is prob better than any test kit.

I use milwalkee ph meters and have had absolutely no problems with em. One of my best friend is one of the programmers for them.

I got a milwalkee ph51. I used it once, calibrated it - seemed to be way off, now its dead. I'm going to replace the batteries and try again.

I've got a hanna multi on the way as well.
