Feel Good LFS Story

Let me make clear the fact that I am in no way associated with Fishtown USA located on Northern Blvd in Queens. I have never worked for them, I do not know anyone that works there and infact today was the first time I'd ever been in there.

Anyway, so I went in looking for some odds and ends. I picked up some sand, a powerhead, some test kits, and a supplement or two for I am in the process of setting up a 150 gallon tank for a friend in NJ. Anyway, I gathered everything, brought it to the counter and was about to check out when I realized I didn't have any salt. I turned around and right behind me were neatly stacked buckets and buckets of salt. Coralife, IO, Tropic Marin etc etc. I guess I was staring really hard at the buckets noticing the price tag was 42 bucks I think when a gentleman asked me if I'd wanted one. I said I did, but that I usually get them at PetSmart for 31.99. He thought for a moment and offered me the 160 gallon IO bucket for 31.99!! How cool is that!!! Needless to say I purchased the salt as well as all the other items. I had read some negative things about them right here on RC in the past and so I never bothered doing business with them. But it was a pleasant surprise being in there myself.

That 10 bucks I saved on the salt, I think I spent on gas driving back and forth.
