Having problems

Started my first reef tank mid september 06 and went big a 125
but not drilled. Rena xp3 filter sea clone skimmer three 250w aqua medic ocean lights tunze 6060 stream and recently added a tunze wavebox yet cant keep any sps corals . they all seem to all turn white. thought I had more than adaquite lighting and water flow. Seem to also be getting alot of red slime coating the sand under and around the wavebox

nitrites 0
nitrates 0
ph 7.8
for thoose tests I have a basic aquariumpharm master test kit
Ihave the salifert tests for calcium which i maintain between 390 and 420 and KH between7.7 and8.0

Current Tank Info: 125 mixed reef w/ 3 250w 14k mh tunzee 6060 tunzee wave box model 4 all glass sump w/ tunzee9010 skimmer. and a 75 gal softees tank w t-5 lighting

what is out of wack to cause the red slime?

A low flow rate can cause this.

with the stream 6060 your flow should be plenty. Is the red slime all over the tank or just on the side without the stream? Do you have phosphate test kit?

no phosphate using only rodi water slime is under side with wave box and 6060 is on opposing side

Well First I would trash that SeaClone, had one did nothing...

IN my experience the Rena XP is a great filter

for FRESH WATER, I have one on my cichlids, but unless ur changing the mechanical filtration daily, (Filter floss etc) ur just holding debris and feeding the algae, i would just run carbon or a phosphate remover.

The Mechanical filtration will just hold nitrates, and phosphates fueling the growth for nusiance algae.

It sounds like u have enough flow, maybe try reducing ur photo period.

But Thats all, it doesn't quite come together.
