t5 vs PC

Im working with a 40 gal. 12"(L) X 30"(W) X 22"(H) tank
Im not looking to keep any specific corals (just cool looking ones )

I just picked up a 4 bulb balost for VHO t5. My hood is only big enough for total 4 bulbs.
Should i go all out with the 4 VHOs or leave in the 2 PC i already have, and only utlize 2 of the VOH t5s?

I would go with the T5s. It sounds like you're starting on corals, so T5s will give you the option of stocking more light demanding corals if you choose to down the road.

One option would be to keep your current PCs and supplement with T5s and if you think you need more light in the future, switch to all T5s.

What kind of ballast did you pick up?
