Questions on Distilled water and RO/DI filters
I have just recently set up my 29 gallon tank 2 weeks ago. I have read on many forums that tap water is unacceptable and so I have a couple of questions. Can I used distilled water or should I get an RO/DI filter? And if I do get an RO/DI filter which one should I get? I have seen some companies on eBay selling them and I just need to clarification and direction. Thanks for any and all responses that I get to my problem.

stay away from Tap water and most Ebay companies, get a unit that has a Dow filmtek membrane and you may want to consider getting a TDS meter as well. I suggest Purely H20, The filter Guys or BFS. They are all sponsors on Reef Central and are all great. I went with a Purely H20 unit and I like it.

Yes, get one with a filmtec membrane preferably a 75gph unit.
