remora in sump
i'm gonna be starting a 16g bowfront with 29g sump. I will be breaking down my 29g tank which has a remora on it right now.
Is there a way to use the remora in my 29g sump for my 16 bow? Cant it just sit right in the tank? I mean that wont really affect how it works does it? As long as the water is high enough it should work right? |

I would think that it will work just fine.

You can attach it to the side of your sump and get a longer tube for the pump to skimmer, it will just suck just as bad as when it was on your tank, but it will work this way.......matter a fact i've been running mine for a few mths like this. It still produces teh cup or two every two weeks.

Currently, I have my remora sitting inside my sump. I did it because my water line in the sump is lower than the output of the water flow of the remora. So it does not make the water flow splash sound anymore. Also, I found it is cleaner running the remora this way because I have less salt build up on the side of the sump walls. The only thing I recommend is that you have the remora sitting on a level surface and secure it some how because if it falls over you are going to have a mess. HTH
