Sorry to see the big thread closed
 I just recieved a BM250, did a vinegar bath. Just curious if the water is supposed to come out of the riser tube near the wingnut??? What do you guys do to silence the water pouring from the T ?? I have it running in 5" of water. What is the best height to run it?TIA for any advice

Put it in 6 - 7" of water. Yes, some water does come out the riser near the wing nut. My sump is in the basement, so noise is not an issue for me. If you want to quiet the output, you can put an elbow on the output and direct the flow down.
