Milky Substance !!!!!! HELP

Guys / Gals,

Whilst doing my bi weekly 10 % water change a milky substance shot out of my live rock, is this good / bad ?????

Bit worried now as things seem fine..........maybe too fine !!!



can you get back to me asap before i dose with a tonne of carbon !!!

quite likely you've got a critter that just spawned; if so, that's a Good Thing. Means your conditions are good enough to allow growth. I suppose there may be other sources for the stuff, but that seems the most likely to me

ok......phew........perhaps thats it, my filter feeders will get a nice meal then.

he eh.........no pics as it didnt last for long, it squirted out of some live rock, i couldnt see where.

I was at my computer earlier and looked over at the tank to see it had turned completely cloudy. One of the power heads had fallen nose down in the sand and well, you can guess the rest!

that has happened to me also, took about 10 mins to clear again !!!!

what a gutter !

bit different of what happened to me though !
