How to make tank "reef ready"

I was thinking about setting up a 29 gal reef.

I was wondering, after my 29 gal. tank is drilled, how would I go about making a setup similar to my 75 gal "reef ready" tank.

Also, I currently have a mag drive 1200 and was thinking about using that for flow. What would be a good setup for the least amount to dead space? Two returns (using a swcd) facing each other, or doing something different, like flow facing upwards from the bottom of the tank?
