do you think i should change my lighting schedule?
I have 2 20k 250 hqi's over my 90, I work a 2-10pm shift so i like my tanks light on when i get home from work. IME best time to enjoy my tank. So my schedue is halides on at 12:45 and off at 10:45. So that is 10hrs of 20k halides no actinics. But my main question is, my tank gets room light from the sun comes up until 12:45. The room the tank is in has two windows, one right above the tank which does minimal effect due to the canopy, also one at the 9-o-clock postition. BOth windows are stained glass windows so it doesnt get the room lit up as good, but my zoas and shrooms still open a little bit. /i have been doing this kind of light schedule for years with no ill effects. But was wondering if i may get any benifits from going to a schedule that was more like the sun ie: halides from 8-6 or 9-7?

As far as what time the light come on and go off it doesn't really matter. Fish and corals can't keep time. I would stick with a 10hr schedule like you have been doing, just adjust that time to your work schedule.
