TEK T5 tank mounting brackets???

Does anybody use Teks T5 tank mounting brackets? They are, imo, a little pricey, almost 70 bucks, and I wanted to see how they look on a tank. I have the ceiling mounting kit, but I can't use it, I live in a rented condo, and don't need the landlord running up on me about the holes in the ceiling. (hint, willing to trade) So, I need to go the bracket route.

So, can someone post a pic of them on their tank, and what they like/dislike about the brackets.

personally, i like them very much. they maintain the same "design lines" as the fixture itself, being black.

I would mount mines from the ceiling, I have the kit, got it with the lights. But, I rent this condo, and I don't want to have to hurt somebody, lol. I think the look, from some pics I see, of them sitting on the tank is cooler than hanging, just my opinion

I chose to hang em' since I don't want to much weight being braced by the tank... ( LIGHT, HOB DELTEC MCE600 and a HOB LARGE Aqua Fuge w/ Protien skimmer ) combined would be TOOOO much to handle.

Check Carolina Reefs They have them also. They offer pretty good prices on most sunlight supply stuff.

The brackets are well made and you will see why they cost more. I'm pretty sure that they are made from heavy gauge aluminum.

You should try looking on ebay for those; i'm not entirely sure if they have them on their or not, but its worth a try. Or just post on the the Trade forum; maybe someone is willing to trade your hanging kit for a mount kit
