Blueline Pumps

I just recently got a blueline 55 HD pump for my system. This thing is pretty loud, it makes a vibrating noise. Needless to say I would like to get a little less noisy pump. I was looking at the velocity series and they claim to be quite. Does anyone have any experience with either of these pumps that could tell me if there is a difference?

Anybody? I have been told the velocity pumps run hot. Does anyone know anything about that?

I run a 100HD from the basement to the first floor. Mine is nice and quiet. It was alittle noisy from cavitation before I enlarged the intake pipe. I went from 1" to 2".

I have mine sitting on a rubber mat to make there is no vibration.

The 55 should be very quiet. Have you checked to make sure nothing is hitting the fan? Or take the fan housing off completely? If that doesn't solve it, take the wetside apart and make sure nothing got caught inside
