Closed Loop Low Profile Spa Drains, Good Find I Think

In case anyone else is interested I found these online with the help of another member here in these forums.

I was looking for a low profile\large surface area drain for my 2 closed loop intakes. And it had to be aesthetically pleasing to look at.

I found a 2 inch Spa Drain fitting that fits the bill perfectly for Sequence Darts' 2" intake.

http://www.uspartscenter.com/index.a...PROD&ProdID=48

Hit the drop down and you can choose:

10-6201
or
10-6204 (* extended bulkhead threaded length = 2.25" versus 1.45 for the 6201 above)

Pick your color.

Here is a PDF with dimensions of the fitting:
http://www.hydroairusa.com/pdfSearch/55.pdf

But here are the dimensions

Round Drain Cover = 1.54" thick (this is very slim)
Round Drain Cover = 6" diameter (large surface area to reduce
the possibility of fish being sucked against it.

2.25" threaded length on the bulkhead for the 10-6204 assemby
1.45" threaded length on the bulkhead for the 10-6201 assembly

Both assemblies are 2" slip fittings

* I also asked if a 75mm sized hole will work with the fitting (as cheap 75mm diamond hole saws are readily available from lau*** on ebay). The assembly actually calls for a 2 7/8 inch hole = 73.02mm. He said it would work.

I ordered the Black extended fitting. I'll post when it comes in and take some pics etc.

Not bad, and it will flow enough to keep up with just about any size pump you'd want on there.
Let us know, and some color photos when you get it in.

It does come in black.

There has been some confusion on the colors. Initially their web-site did not list the black color. I asked Rod there via chat at usapartscenter.com about it. He said they DO come in black and he immediately updated his website to display a black option. 30 minutes later I get an email from him saying black is no longer made. I assume he took the black option off the website at that time. This morning I get an email from him saying he recieved an email from ITT last night and black IS available. So he's shipping me BLACK. I just checked and his website is not updated with black.

So if you order it and want black either call usapartscenter and ask for Rod or chat with him online at the website.

OK, I will..

Looks like ITT changed their website...

The new PDF with specs is now at:

http://www.hydroairusa.com/pdf/pool-spa/p13.pdf

curiously enough though the new pdf doesn't show the "extended" threaded length bulkhead bu the normal one should work just as well........
