Lighting opinions...
I am leaning toward allowing my interests to shift toward SPS and Zoanthids...currently I keep several types of LPS (my system is dominated by them). I currently run 3 x 175W halides.
A Ushio 20K over the middle of the tank, and a Blueline 10K+ over each end. Lights are the bell type pendant (Vertical burn) and are about 11" above the waters' surface...the tank is a 100 gallon AllGlass and is 18" deep. I am considering about replacing the middle halide with a 250W, and eventually maybe the two on either end as well. Any suggestions on what type bulb(s) might best suit the new format? Does any particular brand of 250W seem to perform better than the others? (This will be my first experience with 250W, I have always ran the 175's). Is color rendition between the 250W and 175W pretty consistant?
