high nitrate level

i have 120g reef tank with a 30g sump/refugium..about 140lb of live rock and about 70 lb of live sand with only 5 fish..i'm also using asm g2 skimmer..i set up this for about three months ago and have been changing 20g of water weekly for 2 month straight..on the third month i started changing the water every 10 days or so instead of 7.i noticed that my nitrate level went a little higher than usual...sorry for the run around but my question is am i gonna have to do a weekly water change forever???

First, Welcome. And yes, water changes are a ritual that are a part of the hobby. I don't do weekly, but every 3 weeks. As the tank gets more established, you can extend the time between changes.

How often and how much do you feed your fish? What kind and size of fish?

2 cubes sounds alot to me. I Had high nitrates and was using 1 cube in the morning 1 at night. I now disolve 1 cube and split it for morning and night with Nori.
