What kind of paint

I want to paint the back of my tank.What kind of paint does one use for painting glass?

Rustoleum enamel will do fine , brush , spray or roll in on !!

I painted 24 tanks with Rustoleum. No problems, but they are FW tanks. Just roll it on with a small cheap roller.

Krylon Fusion spray paint purchased at Walmart. Works GREAT!

any kind of paint would be fine if its on the outside, not getting in the tank.


cover the tank beforehand....

If it's going inside the tank, Krylon Fusion is the only reef-safe paint I have heard of.

Yeah to add to my post I have PVC painted that is inside my tank and have experienced no ill effects.

Thanks for the post. I used latex on the back of mine. Takes a lot of coats and peels off easy but it is cool to peel off a 36 x 24 section of latex paint in one pull.

If I redo it I'll use the spray.
