frustrated... dwarf angel destroying my SPS. How to catch him?

I am ready to really pitch one. My half black angel is really destroying my SPS. I'm going to have to catch him, but have no idea how to do so without taking the tank down. He loves live brine, so I was thinking about cutting the top from a 2l bottle, putting brine inside and waiting him out.

Advice please!

-J

I used one of these to catch a pair of argi's. It's the best invention since the wheel, IMHO

It also has worked on other fish. Works every time.

Pretty expensive, there.

I had a flame angel nipping my SPS in my 90g and was able to catch him in 30 minutes without much fuss.

I took a 2 liter bottle, cut off the cap-end (and a bit of the tapered neck). I then took the end/neck and cut off the cap/screw part, making a hole large enough for the angel to comfortable swim through. I took this modified end/neck, reversed it, and attached it to the body of the bottle.

Next, I attached some fishing string to the body, and then lowered the body into the fish tank. I filled the body with the angel's favorite foods, and waiting in front of the tank in my chair, fishing-string in hand.

30 minutes later, success. Caught the flame.

The bottle works pretty good I've caught serveral fish this way, but not a damsel had to breakdown the tank to get the little bugger.

Answer my question

My suggestion is for non DIY people, and also I liked it because you can catch fish of various sizes.

Anyways, miatawnt2b, good luck with whatever you choose. I know it's so FRUSTRATING to see your corals getting munched

Oh, another option. I actually just borrowed the trap (prior to buying my own) from a local reefer. I just asked on the local website, and had 3 offers within a couple hours.

I caught my hyper-aggressive (but coral friendly) argi angel by utilizing the many nets I've accumulated over the years. I blocked off every escape route and cave and it was then just a matter of patience. The whole ordeal was made easier by the fact that the scrappy little dude feared absolutely nothing, but I've caught wrasses and grammas that way too.
